Established as a butchers in 1850, Robin Maycock and his wife Glynis took over the shop in 1977. Today their children Jonathan and Emily are in day-to-day charge of the shop.
At Maycocks the quality of the produce speaks for itself, Maycocks is one of the last remaining butchers in the country which has complete control of their produce at every stage from farm to plate. All of our finest quality beef, lamb and pork is locally sourced, from Derbyshire, by master butcher and livestock judge Robin Maycock, and is prepared in our own licensed abattoir at the rear of the shop.
Emily and her team produce a dazzling array of delicious cakes, home cooked ready meals, and sourcing locally and using our own meat. Jonathan and the Team also make a range of homemade sausages to suit all tastes and a range of cooked meats for slicing, including Ham, Pork, Turkey, Salt Beef and Haslet and our best seller "Picnic Hams".
